About your future job Based on a solid legacy, SOTAS at its core is a voice communications solution used by the crews of military vehicles (e.G. armoured personnel carriers or battle tanks) during their missions. Similar to the integration of telephony systems with networked computing technologies in the commercial markets, SOTAS is now expanding its horizon to support the next generation integrated mission systems, primarily in vehicles (for example, please see We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Engineer to strengthen our engineering team in structuring and managing information and knowledge essential for the design and development of innovative products and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of system engineering principles and be skilled in organising data in a logical and accessible manner. The most important tasks of a Systems Engineer; Collaborate with engineering teams to gather, organise, and synthesise technical information relevant to product and system design and development. Has a strong process orientation. Ensure the team follows and matures the Thales processes. Develop and maintain searchable databases and documentation systems that capture lessons learned, best practices, and engineering methodologies. Ensure that all engineering documentation is stored in a logical framework to facilitate easy access and retrieval for future projects and team members. Conduct regular reviews and updates to the knowledge management system, ensuring content accuracy and relevance. Assist in the development of tools and resources that enhance the efficiency of the engineering process. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing within the team by facilitating workshops and training sessions. Support project teams by providing information and resources to aid in timely decision-making and problem-solving. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in the documentation and sharing of technical information. We are looking for a person who has: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience in system engineering or related technical roles, with a strong emphasis on knowledge management. Proficient in using database management and documentation tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams. Someone with a Dutch passport, as the project is nationality-restricted. Familiarity with engineering design processes and standards.
