Strategist
We’re looking for a Strategist with a sharp mind for systems thinking, a strong sense of story, and a deep interest in building brands that stay relevant in a fast-changing world. In this role, you’ll help shape the strategies and structures that define how our clients show up, communicate, and grow, from market positioning to how a brand speaks and behaves.
This role is for someone who thinks beyond campaigns. You understand how narrative connects long-term vision with immediate decisions. You can turn abstract goals into clear direction and provide teams with the frameworks they need to build with clarity and coherence. Your work helps brands express themselves with confidence and act with purpose, across everything they do.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary environment where design, strategy and technology come together, working across brand innovation, product strategy, experience design and marketing transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic engagements across brand positioning, architecture, naming, messaging, and narrative design building bold, coherent, and culturally relevant brand systems.
- Craft compelling brand narratives that link long-term ambition with day-to-day execution shaping how a brand shows up, speaks, and behaves across all touchpoints.
- Conduct market research, audience analysis, and competitor benchmarking; leverage cultural shifts, behavioral insights, and emerging technologies to uncover growth opportunities.
- Translate business objectives into strategic roadmaps, content systems, platform strategies, and campaign direction that drive measurable impact.
- Collaborate closely with creative, design, and tech teams to embed strategic thinking across all outputs with clarity, consistency, and intent.
- Support content and campaign teams with direction for editorial calendars, branded content, and storytelling always from a narrative-first perspective.
- Use AI, analytics, and tooling (e.g. GA4, HubSpot, GPT, dashboards) to inform decision-making, optimize journeys, and personalize brand experiences.
- Define KPI frameworks and measurement models that make strategy actionable, accountable, and performance-driven.
- Build trusted relationships with senior and C-level clients, acting as a strategic advisor who connects brand, business, and customer experience.
- Contribute to DPDK’s strategic IP and thought leadership shaping the tools, methods, and insights that define our positioning as a brand innovation agency for the bold.
- Support new business initiatives by shaping strategic narratives, developing pitch materials, and helping position DPDK as a high-impact partner for ambitious brands.
Requirements
- You have at least 5–8 years of experience in senior strategic roles within a brand consultancy, digital agency, or innovation-driven environment.
- You’ve led strategy work across branding, marketing and digital from positioning and messaging to content, CRM and platform ecosystems.
- You’re fluent in the language of business and brand, and know how to turn abstract vision into actionable roadmaps for design, tech and marketing teams.
- You have experience working directly with C-level clients and know how to build trust, challenge assumptions and shape strategic agendas.
- You’re a structured thinker with strong narrative and conceptual skills able to distill complexity into clear, inspiring direction.
- You’re comfortable working across different time horizons: from defining long-term brand positioning to shaping short-term campaign strategies.
- You bring a data-informed mindset and know how to combine qualitative research, market intelligence, and behavioral insights to shape brand and experience strategy.
- You understand the impact of AI on branding and marketing, and are eager to explore how it can be used to enhance brand experience and operations.
- You are fluent in English and Dutch, and have strong writing, presentation and facilitation skills.
