Salary Range: €40,000– €50,000 per year, depending on experience
The Role:
Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Liferaft Technician to join our Marine team based in Rotterdam.
Key responsibilities for the Liferaft Technician role include but are not limited to:
Inspect, service, test, and repair a range of marine safety products including liferafts, lifejackets, immersion suits, and associated lifesaving equipment.
Open, clean, repack, and prepare liferaft containers in line with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
Carry out servicing activities in accordance with approved procedures, manufacturers’ manuals, technical bulletins, and recertification requirements.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards, maintaining full compliance with maritime regulations.
Liaise with Operations Management and colleagues to ensure appropriate stock levels of spare parts, consumables, and servicing materials are maintained.
Accurately complete all service documentation, certification paperwork, and job records to support invoicing and compliance processes.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and health & safety within the workshop and servicing areas.
Keep manufacturers’ manuals, technical documentation, and service bulletins up to date, accessible, and fully understood.
Review, acknowledge, and sign manufacturers’ technical bulletins in line with company procedures and manufacturer requirements.
Support workshop, offshore, and onboard servicing activities as required, including occasional travel and customer site visits.

About You:
Essential Criteria:
Good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting activities safely.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Basic computer literacy, including experience using Microsoft Office and internal operating systems/software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures, manuals, and safety standards.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to work, including occasional travel and site-based servicing activities.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience servicing liferafts and other marine lifesaving equipment.
Dutch language skills.
Experience within the marine, offshore, or safety equipment servicing industry.
Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and certification requirements.
