Job Description:
Are you hands-on with mechanical or electrical systems and ready to work on equipment that plays a vital role in emergency situations? For a leading international player in industrial firefighting solutions, we are looking for a Service mechanic ready to take responsibility for critical systems in demanding environments.
You’ll be working on-site at industrial and petrochemical clients, maintaining high-performance foam systems, pump units, and mobile firefighting equipment.
What will you do?
In this position, you’ll be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, testing, and certification of firefighting systems at customer sites, mainly in the (petro)chemical industry. You’ll work independently or as part of a team, and may occasionally travel internationally.
Your tasks will include:
- Maintenance and inspection of fixed and mobile firefighting systems
- Functional testing of foam systems, pumps, and suppression units
- Technical inspections according to industry safety standards
- Ability to install, inspect, and repair valves, fittings, hoses, and couplings
What do you bring?
- A technical MBO-level diploma in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or hydraulics
- Experience with or interest in hydraulics, valves, or pumps
- A hands-on, responsible, and precise working style
- Good communication skills in English or preferably Dutch
- Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and occasionally abroad
