Job Purpose
The Senior Tax Compliance Officer VAT is responsible for the timely and correct handling
of matters concerning either the day-today specific VAT requirements of the clients,
including correspondence and other communication with clients, third parties and  teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Support VAT Team and Client Servicing Teams in their everyday work;
  
• Liaise with the tax authorities, external advisors and clients;
  
• Support the preparation and perform the review of VAT Compliance Work
  
• Take ownership of own development by following required and relevant trainings;
  
• Take part in development of the Junior Officers and Officers by providing relevant
  trainings, feedback and work planning;
  
• Proactive involvement in the development of the department and business;
  
• Optimize client follow up, time management and processes and plan the work
  with Manager;
  
• Manage problems or complex technical matters and take ownership of complex
  client files.
  

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in law, accounting finance or tax – a specialization in taxation
  is an advantage;
  
• Minimum 3 years experience in VAT services in Luxembourg or another EU
  country;
  
• Excellent understanding of accounting and legal environment
  
• Excellent communication skills in English, German/French/Luxembourgish is
  considered an advantage;
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
