Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Rotterdam
Full time working hours
Office based 3-4 days per week
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering environment on an initial 12-month contract, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial building projects, including leisure developments, educational facilities, and similar large-scale structures, within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver structural engineering design across a variety of commercial projects
Produce and review structural calculations and design documentation
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers, supporting their development
Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and deadlines are met
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including preparing and reviewing technical reports in Dutch
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Structural Engineer within commercial building projects
Strong background in structural design and detailed calculations
Experience working on projects such as leisure facilities, educational buildings, or similar developments
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
Fluency in Dutch (both written and reading) is essential for report handling and communication
