Our tech teams within the short-term trading and operational domain contribute to this mission by developing tools that facilitate continuous energy delivery and optimize trading operations. /p pAs a Python Tech Lead, you will be leading the effort of developing a new platform for short-term trading asset scheduling models. Using Python, you will work to enhance the value of Eneco's diverse asset portfolio, which includes e-boilers, Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, heat grids, Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGTs), batteries, wind turbines, and solar panels across multiple energy markets. You will take the technical lead in building this new mission-critical platform, ensuring the use of the latest technologies and adherence to high-quality coding standards. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liBuilding resilient and future proof applications. Lead the planning, architecture and development of the asset dispatching platform and the energy optimization models. /li liGrowing the team. You'll be a coach and mentor to your team members. /li liPush the standard. Ensure code follows best practices, works efficient and is tested effectively. /li liDrive adoption. Keep technology current with advancements in Python and cloud technologies. /li liOverseeing the software development lifecycle. /li liEnsure production systems perform efficiently, with robust security and maintainability. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liProven expertise in Python and cloud engineering. /li liExperience building mission-critical platforms. /li liStrong technical skills with the ability to communicate requirements to stakeholders. /li liComprehensive understanding of containerization, microservices, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes (Azure DevOps). /li liAbility to lead a team of developers, ensuring high-quality coding standards are met. /li liResidency in the Netherlands and fluency in English. /li /ul h3Bonus Points /h3 ul liExperience with mathematical optimization (Gurobi is highly advantageous). /li liBackground in trading, energy markets, or optimization models. /li liProficiency in data science/engineering. /li liExperience with frontend frameworks (Vue.js). /li liFamiliarity with .NET/C#. /li /ul pYou will join Eneco’s Python tech team within OpsIT and be part of the larger Eneco backend developer community.
