Vysus Group is a leading engineering and technical consultancy offering specialist asset performance, risk management and project management expertise across complex industrial assets, energy assets (oil and gas, nuclear, renewables) and the energy transition.

We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant & Business Development Manager to take a leading role in our Rotterdam based nuclear team. You will be heavily engaged in recruiting the Rotterdam team, taking responsibility for profit and loss and will regularly engage directly with clients, facility owners, operators, vendors, and national regulators worldwide.

In the role of Senior Consultant & Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Play a role in developing and executing the nuclear strategy for mainland Europe to achieve revenue and profitability targets and grow market share for Rotterdam nuclear team.
  • Manage the profit & loss for the Rotterdam nuclear team.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Rotterdam nuclear team and ensure best practices are adopted across the region.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to the Rotterdam team from a project execution and commercial perspective.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction and retention, leveraging local knowledge of the industries we serve.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities based on an understanding of local market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure the Rotterdam nuclear team remains competitive in the mainland European nuclear market.

To be successful in the role we are looking for you to have the following:

  • An MSc degree in engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of working experience in the nuclear industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • A proven track record of driving revenue and profitability growth and market share expansion for technical engineering services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Local knowledge of the nuclear industry in mainland Europe.
  • Experience in the consulting or professional services industry preferred.
  • Be proficient in English to a professional level (written & spoken).
  • Preferably, a secondary language (e.g. German, French, Spanish).
  • A willingness to travel.
