We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to expand our service offerings within the Chemicals sector in Western Europe. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and extensive organizational support.

About the role

How you will contribute

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to identify top regional/industry opportunities and expand business to new accounts within the Chemicals vertical.
  • Generate effective leads and opportunities from the territory plan.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels.
  • Understand the customer’s business strategically, operationally, and financially.
  • Navigate the customer’s buying process and identify all influences to understand their requirements.
  • Qualify and quantify potential growth opportunities.
  • Leverage company resources (solution experts, industry experts, operations, executive support) to assist in developing accounts.
  • Maintain contacts with international Chemicals customers and schedule regular visits.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of current and future opportunities, quantifying the number of opportunities, value, and managing to win.
  • Own the commercial relationship and contract negotiations with customers for all new business wins.
  • Partner with colleagues in other regions on broader opportunities for selected customers.
  • Represent the company/chemical vertical in front of international customers as well as in conferences and panels.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development within the chemical sector in the supply chain or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of generating profitable revenue growth and retaining existing customers.
  • Formal sales training or demonstrated experience in sales training tactics and processes.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual/presentation communication skills in Polish and English.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player with a high level of energy.
  • Flexibility to travel 30-50% of the time across the globe to our operations to perform audits on-site.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
