SAP FICO Consultant

The role offers an impactful, value‑added position in our IT team. You will have a broad responsibility and can enjoy a varied job where you work on different phases of a project—project manager, business consultant, system configurator, test coordinator, trainer, steer‑co member, and first‑level support during go‑live and hyper‑care. You will work closely with international stakeholders in our local business units and headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for incident solving, coordinating with an outsourced AMS team.
- Ensure user satisfaction, SLA compliance, use problem‑management tools, implement preventive measures, and participate in escalation calls.
- Co‑responsible for change requests and improvements, collaborating with the European Business Process Owner.
- Deliver business requirements analysis and propose standard SAP solutions or reuse existing features.
- Produce functional specification documents, impact analyses, test instructions, and permission concepts.
- Responsible for system configuration (SPRO); may delegate to external partners.
- Work with the development team on technical specifications; coding is not required.
- Conduct unit tests for ready changes.
- Update process flows, procedure manuals, and related documents after each change.
- Validate user‑acceptance tests and confirm improvements with the business.
- Contribute to various projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an SAP FICO consultant.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA customization and configuration.
- Experience with cross‑functional SAP modules.
- Understanding of ABAP and ability to debug code.
- Experience with EDI and integration.
- Fluent English; knowledge of another European language is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- FMCG experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL preferred.
