Overview
As Regional Occupational Health Physician in the Netherlands, you provide medical leadership for onsite occupational health services and oversee the program across multiple locations. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead Company Doctor activities and provide medical leadership for onsite occupational health services
- Supervise Arbo-artsen and other health professionals performing delegated health activities
- Ensure quality, consistency, and competency of delegated services with coaching and case consultation
- Maintain professional independence and confidentiality in medical decisions
- Establish clinical protocols, standards, and escalation pathways for occupational health
- Oversee health surveillance, fitness-for-work determinations, and risk-based programs
- Lead sickness absence, reintegration, and return-to-work processes including complex cases
- Collaborate with employees, management, and HR while preserving medical confidentiality
- Assess and address workplace health risks in partnership with safety and facilities teams
- Advise on occupational health strategy, policy, budgeting, and vendor management
- Support travel medicine program and guidance for business travelers
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Medical degree
- BIG registration and Bedrijfsarts registration or active enrollment in a recognized Bedrijfsarts program
- Experience in occupational medicine and absence management
- Experience supervising physicians or health professionals
- Industrial/manufacturing sector experience preferred
- Dutch and English language proficiency
- Valid driving license (Category B)
- Willingness to travel up to 25% within the Netherlands
