As a Project Supply Chain leader you will be working within the Benelux Supply Chain team consisting of 24 people, divided over 4 departments (Material Planning, Strategic Planning, Customer Service and Project Supply Chain Management) and operating from several locations (Rotterdam, Ridderkerk ,Utrecht, Bruges and Cluj Rumania). Together with 3 other colleagues you will be part of the Supply Chain Project Management team and interacting with Project managers, Engineering, warehouse, production, quality, procurement and sales.

Your future role

You will be responsible to manage and execute the supply chain design and processes for our both new build, maintenance and/or overhaul projects. You will have a central role where you are the linking pin between the supply chain organization and the project management organization, translating project requirements into supply chain activities (e.g. logistic flows, master data management, documentation, packaging etc.) and responsible for on time delivery . Day-to-day you will be working closely with the engineering, supply chain and procurement department, as well as customers and should be able to communicate on different levels within and outside the organization.

Tasks & responsibilities

1. Design Supply Chain network

– Design Supply Chain processes based on Tender team requirement

– Commit on Supply Chain direct cost (direct hours, packaging cost…)

2. Secure Ramp up (project ramp-up phase)

– Set up & Synchronize Supply Chain processes vs Industrial requirements

– Responsible to drive key activities to ensure all conditions related to suppliers’ deliveries, logistics flows, stock policy and system management are met while meeting logistics QCD objectives defined during tender phase

– Manage Specific Conditions for Vendors

– Identify Suppliers for which capacity is at risk

– Ensure that Business Awards are performed with logistics specifications

– Responsible to pass the gate review related to Supply Chain

– Implement logistic work package (e.g. goods flow, documentation, master data etc.)

3. Change management

– Act with stakeholders in case of modifications, escalations etc.

– Coordinate Supply Chain activities related to planning changes, suppliers’ changes or technical modifications with significant impact on supplier’s capacity or logistics flows.

– Support Supply Chain organization in case of critical deliveries issues at suppliers

– Manage Material Availability (missing parts) and anticipate material shortage

4. Secure closure (project closure phase)

– Coordinate all Supply Chain activities to secure the end of production (Missing Parts) while minimizing costs and obsolete inventories

Practical: Salary per year: € 55.000 – € 74.000. We follow the CLA (CAO) Metalelektro which offers 27 vacation days + 13 ADV days. It’s possible to work from home (hybrid), we offer flexible working hours.

The ideal Project Supply Chain Coordinator

It’s necessary to have both supply chain and project management experience. Therefore, you have experience with an ERP-system (preferable SAP) and a bachelor or master degree and preferably 5 years or more experience.

As a person, you are a self-starter with a hands-on mentality, a strong personality who can drive teams into action, good communication and organizational skills and data driven.
