We have an immediate opening for a PR Account Manager based in our Rotterdam office.
As a PR Account Manager, you are the key day to day contact for clients and ensures PR activities are carried out seamlessly on a daily basis to ensure the client(s) overall objectives are met and exceeded.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the client’s/Company’s business objectives and implement a strategic PR plan which directly contributes to the promotion of the client’s/Company’s public image.
- Manage the day to day running of the client accounts, reporting to the PR Senior Account Director.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and relevant contacts to ensure that we are achieving and exceeding their expectations, to include on-site visits to client(s).
- Assist in developing and directing campaigns and devise and implement creative and strategic promotions.
- Develop and maintain effective contacts with a wide range of external bodies to ensure wide and cost effective publicity and support for the client.
- Monitor all media, including consumer magazines, travel trade publications and weekend papers, for references to clients.
- Arrange regular meetings with existing media contacts, actively pursue relationships with new media contacts and maintain a media database.
- Draft creative and effective press releases, articles, and profiles to promote the image of the client/company.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers for any services which cannot be provided in-house and monitor performance to ensure that they are of the standard required, in conjunction with the PR Senior Account Director.
- Carry out research, reporting and analysis of relevant market trends and recommend appropriate policies and actions to promote the image of the client.
- Understand and monitor the client’s budgets to ensure that services provided are within agreed financial limits.
- Attend relevant events to represent and promote the client and organise and participate in appropriate trade shows, press trips and media events.
- Maintain contact with media to actively promote, features, profiles, press trips etc.
- Maximise client’s and Company exposure through suitable broadcast opportunities.
- Pursue opportunities to grow existing accounts e.g., through media training and event management.
Role Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience with a strong PR/communication background.
- An understanding of the work of the Company.
- Contacts in the media.
- In-depth knowledge within the travel/lifestyle sectors.
- Experience of PR activities and budgets.
- A professional “can do” attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, ability to provide creative and effective solutions.
- Preferably experience of managing people, campaigns, and budgets.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and capable of managing and prioritising the workload.
- Excellent language skills in Dutch and English.
- Team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
