For one of our clients in the Offshore Energy Industry, we are looking for a Package Manager/Senior Expeditor.

Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm with global projects in the Oil & Gas and Renewable industries, including offshore wind, hydrogen platforms, floating platforms, oil and gas platforms, floating solar farms, tooling and deck equipment, and structures such as electricity pylons. They also provide solutions for platform decommissioning and modification.

Responsibilities:

The Package Manager/Senior Expeditor acts as the front-line of the Supply Chain activities within the project, responsible for delivering the package to meet project requirements in safety, budget, schedule, and quality. You serve as the project manager for the package, ensuring execution aligns with the Project Procurement Strategy and managing all tactical aspects from RFQ, PO, post-order management, to final delivery close-out. You will also contribute to lessons learned to improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Act as the primary focal point for suppliers and subcontractors regarding the package;
  • Review manufacturing schedules, documentation schedules, and quality control plans to identify milestones and critical paths;
  • Understand the technical requirements of the package;
  • Ensure procurement processes are conducted appropriately and in compliance with company procedures;
  • Set up the package by collecting lessons learned, multidisciplinary input, and defining package gates and planning;
  • Participate in RFQ preparation, bid evaluation, and supplier qualification;
  • Define negotiation strategies with the Buyer and Project Team;
  • Manage the execution of the PO both technically and commercially, ensuring alignment with the project schedule;
  • Closely monitor sub-orders, review, and challenge purchase orders to ensure schedule compliance;
  • Ensure timely receipt, review, and approval of supplier and subcontractor documents;
  • Adjust the Quality Control Plan to meet project requirements;
  • Manage package interface with the supplier during PO execution;
  • Ensure supplier and subcontractor activities are aligned with project priorities;
  • Report package progress to the Project Procurement Manager throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of the assigned package.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar industries in a technical and/or commercial role;
  • A self-starter with good interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
