Job Description:
As an Ocean Freight Operator Import, you are responsible for managing and overseeing the entire ocean freight process, ensuring the smooth and timely transit of shipments. This role involves close coordination with customers, handling freight documentation, providing customer service, updating milestones, and managing financial processes such as invoicing.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all necessary documents for ocean freight are accurately prepared, processed, and maintained. This includes bills of lading, customs forms, and other required import documents.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing shipment updates, and resolving any issues that may arise to ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor and update shipment milestones in the company's operational system, keeping all stakeholders informed of the shipment's status.
Handle financial tasks related to ocean freight, including invoicing, billing, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
Coordinate with various parties, including carriers, port authorities, and internal teams, to ensure shipments are loaded, transported, and delivered as planned.
Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, including safety and environmental standards.
