Job Title: Key Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and strategically minded sales professional to take on the role of Key Account Manager. You will focus on developing and growing your portfolio and commercial relationships with trade partners in your designated region. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional sales and customer service skills, along with the commercial acumen to drive growth across TTV, margin, and room nights. You will work alongside our Strategic Account Managers, Sales Executives, and other internal stakeholders to meet targets, with a good understanding of the industry and a focus on acquisition.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Analyze client productivity to identify new opportunities for growth in TTV, OM, and revenue to exceed targets.
  2. Drive client acquisition activities.
  3. Develop relationships with key travel agent partners.
  4. Collaborate with sales and other internal teams to align strategies.
  5. Negotiate, implement, and monitor performance of key commercial agreements.
  6. Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  7. Participate in strategic planning, reporting, and customer relationship management.
  8. Act as the primary contact between internal teams and external clients.
  9. Conduct on-site sales calls with travel agent partners, including overnight stays if necessary.
  10. Maintain and grow relationships with assigned clients, achieving targets.
  11. Engage regularly with clients to develop strong relationships and identify business opportunities.
  12. Serve as the main contact point for clients interacting with Hotelbeds.
  13. Analyze client performance to increase sales and prevent churn.
  14. Identify new business opportunities through product or destination expansion, market entry, and promoting key business lines.
  15. Drive sales and profitability through proactive account management.
  16. Focus on the growth and development of existing clients.
  17. Assess clients’ critical needs.
  18. Ensure correct and maximized product distribution according to master distribution rules.

Skills:

  1. Proven experience in sales within the travel industry; a degree is a plus.
  2. Fluent in English, French, and Dutch.
  3. Proficient in computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  4. Strong communication skills at all levels.
  5. Excellent presentation skills, including creation and delivery.
  6. Commercially astute with analytical abilities.
  7. Knowledge of Tableau, Salesloft, Salesforce, and industry contacts are advantageous.
  8. Understanding of API and technical concepts is a plus.
  9. Ability to multitask effectively.
  10. Understanding of profitability concepts.

Experience:

  1. At least 3-5 years of sales experience in the travel industry, preferably retail.
  2. Experience managing multiple client projects.
  3. Minimum of 2 years working with budgets and targets.
  4. Experience in driving profitability is advantageous.
