About the Job:

As a Junior Controller, you will be an integral member of our Finance team, assisting in various financial activities to support effective decision-making and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing cashflow by processing daily cashflow movements and executing payments.
  • Preparing periodical cashflow projections.
  • Managing fixed assets ledger including leasing.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing economic justification for project applications.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, budget vs. actuals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in analyzing financial data and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Partially maintaining the general ledger in accordance with local laws and global accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Supporting month-end closings and preparing financial reports.
  • Actively participating in improving processes within the finance department.
  • Maintaining contacts with internal teams (production, operations) and external parties such as auditors, banks, and tax advisors.

About you:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Completed higher professional education (business economics, accountancy, or similar)
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a production or chemical environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles
  • Experience with month-end closings, audits, and cost price analyses
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4 HANA
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Proactive and result-oriented attitude
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with good communication skills
