About the Job:
As a Junior Controller, you will be an integral member of our Finance team, assisting in various financial activities to support effective decision-making and ensure accurate financial reporting. This position offers a unique opportunity for career development and growth within the finance function while working in a dynamic and international environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing cashflow by processing daily cashflow movements and executing payments.
- Preparing periodical cashflow projections.
- Managing fixed assets ledger including leasing.
- Monitoring project progress and providing economic justification for project applications.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, budget vs. actuals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in analyzing financial data and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Partially maintaining the general ledger in accordance with local laws and global accounting standards (IFRS).
- Supporting month-end closings and preparing financial reports.
- Actively participating in improving processes within the finance department.
- Maintaining contacts with internal teams (production, operations) and external parties such as auditors, banks, and tax advisors.
About you:
Education and Work Experience:
- Completed higher professional education (business economics, accountancy, or similar)
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a production or chemical environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles
- Experience with month-end closings, audits, and cost price analyses
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4 HANA
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Proactive and result-oriented attitude
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Team player with good communication skills
