Overview
As a Solutions Engineer at Alphatron Marine you’ll shape onboard IT and AV environments, from design to deployment. You’ll work closely with sales to craft best-fit solutions and then build and commission systems on ships, often traveling for installations. The role spans pre-sales support, project design, standardization efforts, and 24/7 emergency coverage. You’ll operate in a fast-moving maritime tech context, driving reliable, scalable onboard networks and media systems.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design and implement ITAV projects for onboard environments
- Proactively manage ITAV environments for customers
- Provide technical guidance to sales as a 3rd line expert
- Standardize ITAV systems and processes
- Commission delivered systems on board
- Participate in the 24/7 emergency service rota ( every 5 weeks)
- Support testing and maintenance of installed systems
Belangrijkste vereisten
- HBO working and thinking level or MBO+ with demonstrable relevant work experience
- Knowledge of IT Networks
- Several years of relevant experience in Pre-Sales/Sales Engineer/Technical Account Manager or Solutions Engineer
- Broad technical knowledge of IT and AV systems
- Strong English and Dutch (written and spoken)
- Driver’s license B
- Willingness to travel and work outside office hours
- Broad knowledge of network products
- Knowledge/experience with TVRO and VSAT is an advantage
- Interest in the maritime industry
