Job Description
The main responsibilities are:
- Implement HR Strategy, ensuring alignment with the business plan.
- Work with management to complete the full employee lifecycle, providing advice and solutions where needed to ensure the smooth and effective running of HR.
- Be an operational expert, advising key stakeholders and line managers on a range of complex employee relations issues.
- Be an advocate of the organisation’s culture and core values, driving these values through Benelux business and championing HR Service delivery.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Are
- Lead on organisation change management projects, build talent and succession plans across the business through implementing and overseeing an effective performance management process.
- Review employee engagement and flag concerns before they become an issue, building on positive values.
- Proactive leadership on employee development plans, including support and coaching to enable managers to deliver effective appraisals, probationary reviews and 1:1 with their staff.
- Review Learning and Development needs and propose activities to address these, creating business cases for justifying spend where necessary.
- Manage complex employee relations casework and ensure all HR matters are handled fairly and consistently.
- Act as a point of escalation for advice or involvement with any disciplinary, grievance, capability, investigation, or other employee relations hearings.
- Support the HR function with HRIS and KPI data management for BNL entities.
- Lead a recruitment strategy that attracts candidates with the right skills and ensure a positive candidate experience through effectively forecasting and managing vacancies.
- Assist with selection interviewing of candidates for approval with Hiring manager.
- Advise managers on terms and conditions of employment, ensuring legislative and legal requirements are met.
- Deal with the company pension administrators to ensure requests and queries are processed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to and support the continuous improvement of HR policies and practices ensuring they reflect best practice and help drive organisation performance by remaining fit for purpose.
Recruitment/Onboarding
- Partner with recruitment agencies to improve processes, assisting with interviewing and selecting candidates for approval by relevant hiring manager.
- Ensuring the full recruitment process strives to create customer service excellence for candidate experience, whether successful in being selected for role or not.
- Managing and developing the Induction processes with departmental managers, then conducting HR Inductions as part of the on-boarding process for all new employees.
- Monitor employee probation periods to ensure completion of appropriate documentation.
Administration
- Review and update the company handbooks (NL and BE) on changes to policies and procedures as required.
- Use HRIS to input, access and update employee records.
- Monitor employee appraisal, probationary reviews
Payroll
- Assist the Finance team in producing input to the Belgium and Netherlands payrolls.
Employee Relations
- Support managers in handling employee relations issues with appropriate actions.
- Support managers in building the performance of individuals within their team, and work with managers to ensure succession plans are in place for key posts.
- Support with various capability meetings, including disciplinary and grievances.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs to improve the ability and confidence of managers to address HR matters.
- Coordinate training matrices and skills gap analysis for core competencies according to each role.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Manager role with responsibility for full range of HR operational processes and delivery of strategic objectives;
- Relevant Bachelor of Master’s degree;
- Demonstrable working knowledge in employment law and best practice, effectively managing challenging employee relations issues and disputes;
- Ability to communicate and motivate others within a positive and supportive environment;
- Demonstrate the capacity to lead change;
- Experience in multi-site operation with remote management support;
- Proficient IT skills including familiarity with HR databases and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications;
In this role you need to travel to Malle, Belgium on a weekly basis and twice a monthly visits to the location in Wormerveer.
