Overview
In this Global Category Manager Logistics a.i. role, you will lead global sourcing and contracting projects in the logistics category, prioritizing transportation spend. You’ll shape sourcing strategies to leverage global purchasing power while meeting regional needs, and drive measurable cost savings and procurement value. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor local stakeholders to strengthen procurement practices, contributing to the maturation of the global category function.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead global sourcing and contracting projects in the logistics category, focusing on transportation spend
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned with regional requirements
- Manage supplier selection, negotiations, contract implementation, and compliance
- Drive cost savings and procurement value creation across the organization
- Oversee supplier relationship management, performance reviews, and continuous improvement
- Monitor market developments, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to inform decisions
- Ensure contracted agreements are implemented and adopted by business units
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, supply chain, and operations across multiple countries
- Support development and maturity of the global category management function
- Influence and coach local stakeholders on procurement best practices and category expertise
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field
- Professional procurement qualification (NEVI, CIPS, or equivalent) preferred
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management across multiple countries
- Strong knowledge of logistics procurement, transportation sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations
- Track record of delivering cost savings and procurement transformation
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership
- Experience in matrix organizations and international environments
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
- Analytical mindset for market dynamics and supplier opportunities
- Fluent in English and Dutch
