General Manager – Health & Fitness Club
Location: Rotterdam area
Salary: €5,500 basic per month (flexible for the right candidate)
Bonus: Performance-related bonus scheme
We’re supporting a well-established, high-volume health and fitness club with the appointment of an experienced General Manager. This is a senior leadership role within a complex operation, serving 5,000+ members and leading a large, multi-disciplinary team.
The club has strong foundations in place, with clear opportunities to improve commercial performance, strengthen leadership standards, and drive further growth.
The Role
As General Manager, you will have full accountability for the club’s operational performance, commercial results, and people leadership. You will work closely with a senior management team to raise standards, improve consistency, and unlock further revenue opportunities across key departments.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a large team of 50+ across multiple departments

Drive commercial performance across membership, personal training and swim programmes

Embed clear KPIs, performance management and accountability

Maintain high operational standards and a strong member experience

Confidently manage people performance and conduct issues when required
What We’re Looking For

Proven senior leadership experience in fitness, hospitality, retail or large-scale operations

Strong commercial mindset with a track record of improving performance

Experience leading experienced management teams

Confident, calm and credible leadership style

Comfortable operating in complex, high-footfall environments
