Description du poste
What you will do
You work on site, at the client, on the equipment. Not in a workshop, not at a desk.
- Install and connect new HV equipment: power transformers, AIS and GIS switchgear, HV circuit breakers, disconnectors
- Run tests and measurements, commission the installation
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, replace components
- Carry out preventive maintenance to plan
- Explain to the client what went wrong, what you did, and what to watch for
That last point is not an afterthought. You are on site with grid operators, industrial clients and contractors, often at the moment something has stopped. How you handle that conversation counts as much as how you fix the fault.
You work autonomously on site, with technical backing from Rotterdam, travelling to clients across the Netherlands and Belgium.
Profil recherché
What you bring
- MBO-level qualification in electrical engineering, electromechanics or mechatronics
- 3+ years in maintenance, installation or commissioning of electrical installations
- NEN 3840 (VP or WV) or BEI-BHS designation. Working from Belgium: BA5 HS
- VCA, ideally VOL
- You read and understand electrical schematics
- Dutch at B1, English at B2
- Driving licence B, and you are comfortable being on the road
Have the experience but not every designation on paper yet? Still worth a conversation — the company trains its own people, and a BA5 HS holder can be brought up to NEN 3840 for the Dutch side.
What you get
- € 4,800 gross per month, plus holiday allowance and year-end payment — approximately € 67,000 annually
- Company car
- Pension scheme
- 40 days off (Netherlands), with the option to buy or sell days
- Training on the equipment of a leading manufacturer in the sector
- Based in Rotterdam or Zaventem — your choice
Two comparisons worth making, depending on where you sit today.
If you are with one of the large Dutch grid operators: this base sits above the top of their pay scale. What they offer in return is a higher benefit budget, so compare the full package — and ask me the question directly. You will get a straight answer, including when it favours them.
If you are working through a technical agency in Belgium, as most HV technicians there are: this is a permanent contract with the manufacturer itself, with the training, the equipment and the career path that come with it.
The process
A conversation with me, then a screening and two interviews with the client. Notice period in the Netherlands is one month, running to the end of the calendar month. In Belgium it is calculated in weeks based on your seniority and can reach thirteen — we will plan around it.
