Job Overview
Field Service Engineer Marine & Ports Power – ABB Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve faults on power and switching board systems on marine vessels, platforms, and offshore installations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, and upgrade of breakers, switch boards, and related equipment.
- Support remote troubleshooting via phone or Teams and provide on‑site assistance.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and client personnel; act as the on‑site point of contact.
- Document technical incidents, produce service reports and work orders.
- Advise clients on maintenance strategy and system improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor level in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Multiple years experience in a technical service role.
- Preferable experience with marine or offshore installations.
- Comfortable with periods away from home; on‑site expertise required.
- Strong English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
- Valid Driver's licence B.
