Short Description
As an Electrical Superintendent, you work closely with the Technical Superintendent to prepare dockings and repairs to electrical equipment. You communicate between the crew on ships, suppliers, other specialist colleagues, and project employees.
Function Description
As an Electrical Superintendent, you are part of a team with other Electrical Superintendents, Technical Superintendents, and Project Engineers. This team is based in Rotterdam, with occasional travel to ships or yards. You support the fleet by maintaining and modifying electrical installations on ships and equipment.
Skills
- Advise the Technical Superintendent on the electrical systems’ daily status.
- Determine requirements for electrical installations based on project needs.
- Propose technical solutions to meet project goals.
- Test supplier proposals against requirements.
- Support crew with electrical issues onboard.
Requirements
- Experience with SRI (Subsea Rock Installation), Heavy Lift, Large Hoppers, and Offshore Wind Installation Vessels.
- Minimum HBO level, preferably in electrical engineering.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the maritime sector.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- EU citizenship, with preference for those living in the Netherlands due to project location and travel requirements.
