Electrical Superintendent – Bonatti – Rotterdam

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Electrical Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

You will join Bonatti S.p.A. – Dutch Branch as part of the Porthos CO2 Project, which involves the construction of a compression station designed to store CO2 in an empty gas field in the North Sea. This high-profile industrial project is a key contribution to energy transition and carbon reduction in Europe.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Electrical Superintendent will supervise field operations, manage subcontractors or direct labor, and ensure the project is executed according to design, schedule, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise on-site electrical works, whether performed by subcontractors or directly hired teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and company quality standards.
  • Coordinate supervisors and workforce to ensure execution aligns with project drawings and procedures.
  • Monitor project progress and support the Construction Manager in reporting, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Manage daily site operations, equipment readiness, and material availability.
  • Collaborate with other discipline Superintendents to avoid interferences and maintain project efficiency.
  • Oversee certification, testing, and mechanical completion in coordination with the QA/QC department.
  • Support claim documentation related to scope changes or additional works.
  • Lead daily planning, resource supervision, and problem-solving in the field.
  • Ensure timely issuance and closure of permits to work and punch lists.

Requirements

  • High school diploma in a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.); equivalent experience and certifications will be considered.
  • 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction within Oil & Gas plants.
  • At least 4 years in a similar supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC and ISO electrical standards (e.g., IEC 60364, IEC 61140, IEC 60479).
  • Familiar with construction documentation, project drawings, and inspection/testing protocols.
  • Skilled in coordinating teams, managing subcontractors, and resolving site-level issues.
  • Proficient in reporting, progress tracking, and resource planning.
  • English: Fluent (written and spoken) — required.
