On behalf of a leading logistics and terminal services provider in the Rotterdam area, we are currently seeking a Commercial Support Manager to join their dynamic commercial team within the Liquid Bulk vertical. As a Commercial Support Manager, you will act as the vital link between commercial operations and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination of customer requirements, contract execution, and commercial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a background in inside or outside sales, customer service, or commercial coordination within the logistics, shipping, or terminal services sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the first point of contact for existing clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction. Support the commercial team in maintaining and developing long-term customer relationships.
Contract Execution: Assist in the preparation, administration, and follow-up of commercial contracts. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and documented accurately.
Sales Support: Provide support to the commercial team in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentations. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitor activities. Provide insights and data to support strategic decision-making.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare commercial reports, performance dashboards, and customer activity summaries. Analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement or growth.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of commercial activities.
CRM & Data Management: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and ensure all customer interactions and transactions are properly documented.
Candidate Profile
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a commercial support, inside sales, or customer-facing role within logistics, shipping, terminal operations, or a related industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, or similar).
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Language: Fluent in English; Fluent in Dutch
