Location: Netherlands Commitment: Full-time (4-5 days per week) Corsano Health is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Cloud – Backend Developer to strengthen our engineering team at The Hague Tech. Our cloud platform runs on AWS and is designed following ISO 27001 best practices for information security, privacy and resilience. As a Cloud – Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the Corsano Cloud backend. You will build and maintain APIs and services that ingest, process, store, and expose high-frequency physiological data from thousands of patients. You’ll work closely with our mobile, firmware, data science, and clinical teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will gain valuable experience in designing medical-grade cloud architectures, collaborating with hospitals and research institutions on life-saving applications. Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs for ingesting, processing, and exposing wearable sensor data at scale. Develop and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS, using best practices for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Build and optimize data pipelines for near real-time and batch processing of vital signs and events. Own services end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code setups. Collaborate closely with mobile, firmware, data science, and product teams to define technical requirements and interfaces. Work with our Quality & Regulatory teams to ensure proper documentation, change control, and compliance with medical device and security standards. 3+ years of experience as a backend or cloud engineer, preferably in a SaaS or data-intensive environment. ~ Expert-level PHP (Laravel) is mandatory. ~ Comfortable with CI/CD tools and automated testing (unit, integration, and load testing). ~ Fluency in English (spoken and written). A central role in shaping the architecture and evolution of the Corsano Cloud platform on AWS.
