DE POSITIE
Aan de slag bij Van Oord als Chief Officer is een kans om bij een familiebedrijf te werken dat veel aandacht heeft voor mensen en veiligheid. Je werkt aan aansprekende projecten in de energiesector in een 5 weken op en 5 weken af vaarschema.
Als Chief Officer DPO zal je komen te werken op onze wind- installatie jack-up schepen.
JOUW IMPACT
Als Chief Officer op onze wind-installatie jack-up schepen, speel je een cruciale rol in het efficiënt leiden van de wacht en de operaties aan boord. Daarnaast zul je
- Verantwoordelijk zijn voor alle navigatietaken en zorgen dat er op een veilige, correcte en milieuvriendelijke manier wordt gevaren;
- De leiding nemen over alle operaties aan boord;
- Zorgen dat de milieuvoorschriften en het onderhoud van veiligheidsapparatuur (ISM & ISPS) worden nageleefd volgens de hoge standaard van Van Oord;
- Dagelijks overleggen en adviseren met de kapitein om het productieproces te optimaliseren;
Betrokken zijn bij het opleiden en coachen van de 2e en 3e stuurman en stagiaires aan boord;
- Verantwoordelijk zijn voor het bijhouden van de scheepsadministratie volgens de Van Oord-normen.
JOUW WERKOMGEVING
Je werkt in een 5 weken op, 5 weken af rotatie. Aan boord werk je 12 uur per dag in de wacht. Internationaal werken en communiceren in de Engelse taal is essentieel, gezien de wereldwijde projecten van Van Oord.
OVER JOU
Je hebt ruime ervaring als Chief Officer en bent stressbestendig, flexibel en een aanpakker. Daarnaast beschik je over goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een hands-on mentaliteit. Verder vragen we
- Een afgeronde opleiding tot Maritiem Officier op MBO- of HBO-niveau en/of gedegen praktijkervaring als officier van de wacht;
- STCW-cursussen en alle aanbevolen Van Oord-trainingen dienen te zijn voltooid;
- Bereidheid om internationaal te werken en professioneel te communiceren in het Engels;
- Je hebt ervaring met werken op Jack-up schepen;
- Bij voorkeur een DP Unlimited-licentie en ervaring met offshore projecten.
