As we expand across Europe, you’ll play a pivotal role in introducing our proven product to new markets — backed by a supportive international team.
We’re looking for a motivated, outcomes-driven, and technically minded Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our presence in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. This is a rare opportunity to join a proven product and take ownership of a key strategic market during its scale-up phase.
Your Role
You will represent Swivelpole across the Benelux region, engaging directly with:
- End Users (oil & gas, chemical, power, mining, industrial)
- Site Contractors & Maintenance Teams
- Specifiers, Engineers & Procurement Professionals
- Distribution and channel partners, such as industrial lighting OEMs
While your primary focus will be developing the Benelux market, the role will also support incoming enquiries from other European regions and may occasionally involve travel to countries outside Benelux as Swivelpole expands its footprint across Europe.
You will drive new business, secure long-term opportunities, and manage relationships across a variety of industrial sectors and customer types.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, generate, and qualify leads across industrial and energy sectors
- Engage with end users, contractors, specifiers, and influencers to uncover and secure sales opportunities
- Develop and execute a market-focused sales plan aligned with European growth goals
- Build and maintain our CRM (contacts, opportunities, project tracking)
- Interpret technical requirements (lighting designs, mounting specifications, installation needs) and recommend appropriate Swivelpole
solutions
- Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to deliver project outcomes
- Represent Swivelpole
at trade events, site meetings, and promotional opportunities
- Report regularly on sales activity, market feedback, and growth opportunities
What You Bring
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally with industrial, electrical, or mechanical products
- Strong technical aptitude – ability to read product data sheets, lighting designs, and basic technical drawings
- A proven track record of winning new business and building strategic relationships
- A natural ability to network and build rapport across different levels of stakeholders
- Strong presentation, organisational, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, autonomous, and goal-oriented
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel across the Benelux region and occasionally within Europe
