Overview
In this role, you will lead the global Logistics and Vendor Management team within Development Supply Chain to ensure compliant, reliable distribution of clinical trial materials. You’ll build strong vendor partnerships, drive continuous improvement, and shape the distribution strategy across regions. You’ll work closely with cross functional partners to align logistics with quality requirements and company goals. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role at Amgen, focused on delivering critical medicines to patients while advancing operational excellence.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Set up and operate the regional logistics network and toolbox for clinical trials
- Define distribution strategies and ensure compliant transportation and vendor performance
- Manage relationships with key strategic vendors and drive value creation
- Build effective cross-functional relationships and represent DSC in networks and projects
- Oversee significant distribution budget and monitor execution against it
- Coach and develop staff, ensure training, and allocate resources
- Own the logistics vendor portfolio and drive continuous value creation
- Contribute to DSC strategy and translate plans into team goals
- Monitor logistics performance using KPIs and ensure timely, compliant processes
- Support clinical logistics technology roadmap with DTI and data science teams
- Lead process improvement initiatives and coordinate cross-site audits and inspections
- Travel up to 5-10% as needed
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Minimum 3 years of leadership/people management experience
- Extensive experience in supply chain within biotechnology/pharma or related fields
- Strong knowledge of logistics, vendor management, and temperature-controlled logistics
- Strong coaching and management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
